KKR Crushes SRH in IPL Final 2024

KKR Crushes SRH in IPL Final: Dominant Season, Stellar Performances by Narine, Salt, Russell, and Starc.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) delivered a crushing defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), highlighting their dominant season and raising the bar once again. KKR proved to be the best batting and bowling side in the tournament.

Their opening pair, Sunil Narine and Phil Salt, consistently set strong foundations, while their six bowlers delivered match-winning performances game after game. The middle order, featuring the Iyers and Andre Russell, was equally impressive. Russell, in particular, had his best bowling season, clearly showing his appreciation for the franchise’s support. With everything falling perfectly into place, KKR’s celebration was well-deserved. Here’s a sneak peek at our final report. Read Also: Why do Americans not like cricket?

Reminiscent of the 2015 World Cup final, Mitchell Starc spearheaded the dismantling of the second-best team, as KKR secured their third IPL title in a dominating fashion, their second in Chennai. Starc kicked off with a spectacular delivery, setting the tone for what was the most complete bowling attack of the tournament.

The pitch offered seam movement for the first seven overs and then some grip, making it tough for SRH. They were bowled out for a mere 113, the lowest total in an IPL final. KKR chased this down with 57 balls to spare, thanks to Venkatesh Iyer’s explosive 52 off 26 balls. Read Also: How to Join Bihar Cricket Association 2024

Remarkably, five of KKR’s six bowlers took a wicket in their first over, including a golden duck for SRH’s star, Travis Head, by Vaibhav Arora in the second over. SRH, forced to take risks, found themselves losing wickets frequently due to KKR’s straightforward yet effective strategy: capitalize on the ball’s movement, minimize bad deliveries, and avoid unnecessary experiments. Whenever SRH tried to accelerate, they ended up losing wickets.
